New: Android NDK is now supported as an experimental feature

Code on the Go’s experimental features now include Android NDK to support building native C/C++ projects in Code on the Go. When you enable experimental features, an NDK Activity template will be available in the list of new project templates. Please note that experimental features are provided for testing purposes. They may behave unexpectedly or change in future updates, and documentation may not be available. Instructions to enable experimental features are located on this web page and in this video.

New: Detailed LogSender logs are now available

LogSender is now supported and detailed logs can be viewed in the App Logs panel. To enable LogSender, follow these steps:

  1. On the main page or in a project’s menu, tap Preferences.
  2. Tap Developer options.
  3. Tap Enable LogSender.
  4. Build, install, and launch a debug build of your app. The App Logs panel will contain detailed LogSender logs.

User-requested fixes

  • Fixed (GitHub issue 823): In a log panel, tapping to select text now correctly places the selection handles at the location you tapped.
  • Fixed (GitHub issues 769 and 838):  You can now create a Kotlin (.kt) or Java (.java) file in any project.
  • Fixed (GitHub issue 845): The editor preference for selecting font size now works correctly.
  • Fixed (GitHub issue 718): The Gradle --offline flag is now disabled by default so missing dependencies are automatically downloaded.
