NEW: Context-aware New File Dialog for C and C++ Projects
GitHub issue 900: In a C or C++ project that uses one of the NDK plugins, the New File dialog now gives C and C++ files the correct extension and starting structure. To use the New File dialog in a C or C++ project:
- In the file tree, go to the
cppfolder. - Long-press the
cppfolder. A menu opens. - Tap New file. The New File dialog opens.
- Tap C or C++.
- Choose the type of file to create:
- Source creates a
.cfile for C or a.cppfile for C++. - Header creates a
.hfile. - Class (C++ only) creates two files: a
.hheader that declares the class and a.cppfile that includes the header. - Other creates any other type of file, such as a text file.
- Source creates a
- In the File name field, enter a unique name. For Source, Header, and Class, don’t include the extension. The dialog can’t overwrite an existing file.
- Tap Create. CoGo creates the files and adds them to the file tree.
NEW: Search for Files by Name
You can now search the file tree by name to find files quickly. To open the search box, tap the magnifying glass to the right of File tree. Enter part or all of a file name. The file tree shows every file whose name contains those characters.
You can now search the file tree
NEW: Terminal Support in the Plugin API
The plugin API now supports terminal sessions. Plugins can run Gradle tasks with arguments and show whether each run succeeded, failed, was refused, or was canceled.
Plugin developers: If your plugin uses the terminal, set plugin.min_ide_version to 26.41 or later.
Other Fixes and Improvements
- Projects deleted outside CoGo (for example, with a file manager) no longer appear in the project list (GitHub issue 2098).
- In the New File dialog, the selected language and class type now stand out more clearly from the unselected options in every theme, and the Class icon matches the selected language.
- The Extensions Manager is now called the Add-ons Manager.
- Improved stability and performance.
- Fixed bugs, including an
UncheckedIOExceptionerror.
Introducing Knowledge to Go (K2Go™)
